Uh, no... that was plebbit... they wanted the rush of "catching a criminal"... /pol/ on the other hand is driven by the search for the truth... That is one of the major differences between places like here and the chans. These places have things attached to a "persona" whereas /pol/ is based fully on the content. /pol/ has sacrificed its ego in the pursuit of the truth.

Twice... not once as people believe... Some dumbfuck waswas insurgent posted some selfies for the first one and using the pictures background determined roughly where one was. The second was a video of a convoy heading back to their base... Background analyzed, combed through Goolag maps and got a location... sent it to "Ivan" (a poster who was friends with a Russian intelligence officer who passed it on for verification.) who then determined it matched and thus the bombs got dropped.

Remember when it comes to /pol/... "Nothing is beyond our reach."
