But the global corporations will comply (this why they did not lobby to open back up in April, because they knew they would be bailed out with thier compliance) while telling middle-class businesses to stay shuttered. It is all a soft-forced compliance game. Fear of social, fear of the wrong neighborhood, fear of a faceless mob and fear to speak up and fear of more demoralization.
But small towns and real people do not care, they are armed, well stocked and polite.

For those in counties with sheriffs and Karens that are enforcing it, familiarize yourself with the exemptions. There are a lot of them and no additional documentation is required.
Businesses that oppose the mask requirement should hand out snacks and water at the door and remind customers that a mask is not required “when actively eating or drinking”
Went to brunch yesterday and they asked if I had an exemption. I said yes. No further questions. Been to the grocery store twice without a mask and nobody said anything. Hopefully more people join me

I've been in North Carolina a bunch of times over the course of 2 months and about 90% of people aren't wearing masks. The people do no care and are tired of wearing the masks. When its hot outside, and during this time of year is very well is, you can't breathe with a mask. The only thing this order is doing is pissing off more people than the people who may be actually worried about the virus. Overall this order is pushing more people to vote Republican as opposed to Democrat. The governor is most likely going to get voted out with this order now.
Yeah man I went to the Cabelas in White Oak yesterday and they wouldn't let me in without a mask but they also didn't provide one. I sat in the car and watched them turn away a lot of people. Why do the businesses want to comply with this when it results in lost revenue from turning people away?
I went out unmasked and so far 6 of 6 in not being confronted when going in.
A few places have a small sheet of paper saying masks required, but many still unmasked and no stores seem to be enforcing or saying anything.
I imagine there are a few places that might say something (looking at you Wal-Mart) as they have build cattle runs where you have to thread your way in and they have people manning it, but Wal-mart sucks and I don't have to go there.
Going down in a few weeks, my buddy was just down and said there was no covid bs. Plus the blacks down there are civilized, so it should be a good trip.

You are correct, the deaths here in NC are just over 1300 with the majority of those in nursing homes. 62,000 cases total, I wish that number would start decreasing. Mask use here in Charlotte is about 50-50 at a Lowes or Harris Teeter, screw Cooper.

Look the Karen dead in the eye and loudly say "I HAVE A DISABILITY", and 99.9% of the time that's the end of it.
