And the virus travels on water droplets, which are much bigger than the virus itself.

If the virus travelled on its own in the air (aerosol transmission) then a cloth mask would be useless.

I dunno, I’ve had plenty of farts that traveled on “water” droplets.

Then the water particle would envelope the physical poop particle and a partial methane would cling to the water surface [gas is lighter than water so it would get pushed out from water tension adhering to a physical object]

Water+poop particle +methane= ------------>fartacle

And a fartacle is a stinky gas+water+ particle, but any virus/water would be trapped in the pants, and we don't typically point our butts in people's faces or use our butts to communicate all the time.

You are getting a properly filtered fart, as long as they have clothes on. More likely then not, a farticle would remain in skid mark form, while filtered gas escapes.

Wet-farts may be audible, messy to the pants, but you would not be in danger - unless this wet fart was released from a bare butt pointed in the air, in an enclosed room with you.

The mask is like pants for your face- so when you say-it, you don't spray it.

Cloth mask IS useless lmao. Why are there still so many goofballs on this site

Italians_Invented_2A 0 points ago +3 / -3

So if someone was to sneeze on your face, would you rather have a cloth mask or not?

Dialectic 0 points ago +2 / -2

Lmao.

So if a car ran into you, wouldn’t you prefer to be wearing a sumo padded suit? Well you better be wearing that shit then

You under estimate the thickness of my farts. If I fart in your presence, you think somebody just shit up your nose.

If a person sick or asymptomatic with Covid-19

It's very rare to be transmitted by asymptomatic individuals. This is something that was suspected prior to the shutdowns, but the media ran with the opposite story that asymptomatic people were very contagious. In early June when states started opening, they quietly came out with the news that asymptomatic transmission was very rare. They didn't push the story too hard in case they needed to ramp up the panic again.

This should be a logical conclusion for anyone that understands how viral infections work.

The symptoms are caused by the effects of the virus reproducing inside the body and/or the body's response to the infection. If I test positive for antibodies, yet I don't present with symptoms, that would mean that the virus is not present inside my body in sufficient numbers to cause a problem. This also means that it is more difficult for me to transmit the virus, as fewer numbers inside the body likely would mean fewer numbers present in areas leading to the outside.

Now I only have an undergrad in biomedical science, so I may not be entirely correct. There may be exceptions where a lethal infection can occur and not display symptoms. If there are any medical doctors or microbiologists/virologists out there with some input, that would be fantastic.

If I test positive for antibodies,

They aren't using anti-body tests, they are using PCR tests, which have some unknown exponential multiplier, and consequently a likely high false positive rate.

It's considered a possibility but has not been definitely proven.

Yeah, some nurse actually got worried about farting around samples and did a test.

Your underwear and pants do catch most of the fart.

This said, the way most people use masks actually encourages infection.

Touching it all the time, taking it on and off without cleaning it, not covering the nose.

yea wearing a mask, then pulling it down to your chin to talk, then put it back on completely defeats the purpose.

THAT'S why I'm against masks. The majority of people mess with it too much, rewear them after going in and out of stores, pull them down to talk then pull it back up rubbing the masks all up your face (not to mention pulling it down to talk defeats the purpose of not spreading it in the air in the first place), etc

If you want to wear a mask, have at it. BUT you have to use it properly or it's basically just a giant virtue signal

Yes, that's what Fauci said three months ago.

He was probably right. I teleconferenced into a relative at a hospital and the nurse who took the Zoom call had her mask half off and fiddled with it while she talked to me to set up the call. Presenting my relative with a laptop that had is mouth droplets spewed all over it.

When my sterile technique for visiting a grocery store is better than a nurse's at a hospital, it's clear that wearing anything is largely useless or possibly more harmful.
