i thought it was hilarious when this bullshit first started and people were wearing masks. the mask isn't to protect the wearer, it's to protect other people from the wearer. only very special very certain masks keep bad shit out but most of masks are not capable of stopping virus particles from entering the mask because of their incredibly small size.

this shit infuriated me since i work in construction and suddenly millions of retards are buying up dust masks that i wear so that i dont breathe in drywall particles and all the horrendous shit welders are putting out. now i couldn't find one for the life of me and all so a bunch of idiots staying home anyway could feel safe. it doesn't even protect from the fucking virus because it wasn't designed for that kind of thing, but they're still cleaning out hardware stores across the country, and the contractor just gives us cheapo pieces of garbage that are worse than just tying a bandana across your face.

it's all about the illusion of safety and not actually practicing safe behavior. think about how many idiots you've seen wearing masks improperly, it's not helping them or others if they were actually sick. in march i was in a drive thru at wendys and i saw the workers inside wearing masks over their face but they didnt have gloves on while handling my food. let me tell you im a lot more pissed off at someone handling my food without gloves than i am about people not wearing masks. it's all a bunch of bullshit
