The shipment was seized on May 22. Officers inspected the item, which was arriving from Shenzhen, China, destined for a residence in Melbourne, Florida. The parcel was manifested as containing 100 Steel Pin Samples. This is a common practice of smugglers manifesting the contraband as a harmless or a legitimate commodity in hopes of eluding further examination.
LOL ebay and amazon are full of weapons parts from China. Unless they were receivers or things like auto sears then they are legal to import as far as I'm aware. The article in question makes no mention of exactly what these parts were either.
Read the article. All they say is "10K assault weapons parts". No specifics. Of course they had to include the nonsense phrase "assault weapons". Unless these were automatic sears or other parts to make fully automatic weapons -- but we can't know because the article is so vague and scary. For all we know the parts are steel roll pins that "could" be used in an AR-15 build, or in a common everyday application having nothing to do with weapons. I'll assume that since the ATF says they are weapons parts that they are... but yeah, would be nice to know exactly what they are fussing about.
Where were they being shipped? Anyone bother to investigate the shipments destination?
thanks pede
They don't release all the info about the crime because of course the recipients will be/are under arrest.
Thanks pede
They want to turn blue cities into Liberia. More gun fights for the cameras.
free guns for useful idiots

Every package from China should be inspected.
Better still, just accept nothing from China.
