Amen.

For the inevitable mask police that enter the chat, please research Tuberculosis. You will see right away it's a pandemic, and is the leading infectious disease cause of death worldwide.

Now also look how it's spread. The SAME way as covid 19. Now look at the mortality rate

https://www.who.int/gho/tb/epidemic/cases_deaths/en/

After this mission if you choose to accept it, tell me why the fuck we haven't been told to just always wear a mask and how dangerous the world we live in already is? You've been played, now go live and breath free like humans have since the beginning of time.

It seems to me that the people who think covid is a gigantic world ending plague are the kind of people who really have never had to witness, contend with, or face down death. Yeah, a lot of people have died from covid. A lot more have survived it thus far and way more people have died for a litany of other things every single day. Fuck this virus, take the protections you think are appropriate, and go on with your life they way you want to. If I catch covid and die, well, then that was just my time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to go licking doorknobs in China, but I certainly will not live in fear.

Am I wrong in thinking that at some point you get to an age where if you get pretty sick you are going to die. That age is not the same in every person but at some point you are simply very old and you are going to die of something.

It's just a lottery at that point.

I had a family member that was on the way out, and inside his nursing home the WuFlu got him. But the time he had left otherwise was not long. I wonder how much of the future of his children and grandchildren he wanted to see given up so he could get a few more days.

Oh yeah their friend of a friend that works in coding or administration but plays it off like they're a doctor that really knows their stuff. I'm in IT and I go everywhere. I'm in our Covid section a couple times a week and nurses aren't even wearing gloves and masks there unless directly touching a patient.

I mean we should be careful with coronavirus but yeah there's tons of other unhealthy things we do that nobody talks about... Lack of exercise, obesity, smoking, etc

Most of what I treat in the hospital is in some way related to decisions the patient made. We all try to not be judgy so this isn't talked about often

Even the traumas - for fucks sake I took care of someone the other day who crashed his motorcycle for the second time in two months. Bruh - maybe it's time to sell the bike ?

Pneumonia still caused more deaths than the wuhan flu even during the pandemic up to a certain point. Pneumonia deaths pale in comparison to other top causes of death, like abortion, smoking and obesity.

Lol thank you for posting this. I did an internship at the health department and had to sign a bioterror waiver, dress up in hazmat with a personal carry on respirator, go thru a 3 door sanitation station and that was just to work with the testing for it. Not even patients. Everytime I see a mask, it just reminds me of that and I laugh. I’m more scared of TB and hepatitis than fucking covid. Hell I welcome covid, I’ll go make out with the hottest covid patient right now I don’t give a fuck. I’m young and healthy. I’ll probably sneeze for a week

Back in December I went to the ER cause my throat closed up, it hurt so bad to swallow. Neg strep and neg flu. Sent me packing with Tylenol. I NEVER go to the ER. I’ve never had symptoms like that in my life. And then it just went away after a couple weeks. I’ve been exposed to several covid patients and one of o employees got it last week and I had just talked with her a couple days before. She just has the sniffles. Anyways, haven’t been sick in the slightest since all this and I still eat food off the ground

5
sunwolf87 5 points ago +6 / -1

May your shiny ranger powers destroy racism and covid both in one fell swoop! HUZZAH!!! 😂🤣😂

2
AuspiciousLemon 2 points ago +2 / -0

But why? We have vaccines for those thing. There’s only 9,000 cases of TB a year. Hepatitis is a bit worse at about 24,000 and yah the experience might be a lot worse but the odds of you getting it in your life are next to nothing.

1
WhitePowerRanger 1 point ago +1 / -0

I just said I’m more scared of it lol. But I also used to work in hospitals in the lab, dealing with their blood. So it was a bit more of a concern for me. No longer though!

2
AuspiciousLemon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh ok that makes sense. Though I’m sure the healthcare workers are more scared of corona than we are in the same way, considering viral load seems to be such a big factor and their mortality rate is much higher than average the person in similar health and their chance of exposure is probably a bit higher than yours probably was to TB or Hepatitis considering you were probably vaccinated for them.

22
NormaJeanRocks 22 points ago +23 / -1

I'm wondering how much longer these people plan on wearing masks to step out into the world. They obviously arent letting this go away any time soon so do they just plan on wearing them forever now? That's ridiculous and you know, stfu with your fake concern and shitty advice. Some people live in liberal shithole cities like Chicago where you have to wear it in any business, it's a Governor's official, legal order. An employer found with employees violating this can fire them on the spot. So get out of here with the "just quit" thing. It's not that simple. At the very least, the economy is not good now, it's not a two week process where you can get another job on a whim. Moreover, some people care for elder family members, and the risk of them getting sick is very real and may result in death. Until you're in that spot, you're in no position to comment on how easy it is.

23
HughGRection 23 points ago +25 / -2

I fail to believe wearing a t-shirt over your face will significantly lower your chances of getting the virus, regardless of if others wear it or not.

-9
AlphaOmaga -9 points ago +4 / -13

It won’t stop you from getting it. It could stop you from passing it on.

18
Zordly 18 points ago +19 / -1

If you are sick you should stay home.

8
Scroon 8 points ago +9 / -1

It could stop you from passing it on.

They're tricking everyone by talking about possibilities of what might or might not happen instead of what actually occurs or has been shown to occur. But when you talk about vague possibilities instead of realities, then you can make and argument for anything.

Examples:

  • You feel OK,...but you might be sick, so you better assume that you are sick.

  • It's doubtful these masks are doing anything, and some actual studies indicate that they don't....but they could work, so just assume that they do.

  • You're a healthy adult with very low risk of dying...but you might die, so stay scared of dying.

And here's the argument turned on its head:

  • Masks could stop you from passing on the virus, but they also could increase your risk of a lung infection. So which "could" do you choose?

If you want to make an argument that you should do something, then you need to show that there's a real world benefit that arises.

This CDC articles references a study that shows widespread use of masks does not reduce the transmission of viral disease:

https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/eid/article/26/5/19-0994_article

-14
bubadmt -14 points ago +3 / -17

For the sake of debate, I think it would in fact qualify as a statistically significant difference (5% or more) but I don't know how that plays out realistically.

8
HughGRection 8 points ago +8 / -0

You probably could get a statistically significant result in a test, I would concede that. I was using the term in a much more general sense, though. I don't believe that the difference is enough to warrant people screaming bloody murder at people not wearing masks.

1
meatthesoyboi 1 point ago +1 / -0

A statistically significant difference doesn't say anything about the magnitude of the difference. It means, statistically, we believe there to be a difference. Typically if we are 95% sure that there is a difference, then we say it is statistically significant.

For the sake of argument, if wearing a t-shirt over your face reduces your chances of getting the virus by .01%, but we were 99% sure that was true, it would be a statistically significant difference. If they reduced your chances of getting the virus by 10%, but you were only 80% sure, that would not be a significant difference.

14
zhalias 14 points ago +14 / -0

it's a Governor's official, legal order

I'm willing to bet there are gonna be plenty of lawsuits on this soon. Forcing someone to wear something they don't want to wear is the same as telling someone they aren't allowed to wear something they do want to wear. It is a violation of Freedom of Expression.

They are already starting to lose lawsuits on the church closings, I guarantee they will lose the mask issue in court. That is why almost every mask order is listed as "advisory" and not "mandatory", because the few that made them mandatory(like california) are going to lose in court.

I got your back, fam.

All of the Petri dishes in this photo have that reddish stuff in them called agar, which is a substance that is specially designed to encourage bacterial growth.

For the dishes on the left, someone did the activities next to them without wearing a mask (from top to bottom: sneezed, sang for 60 seconds, talked for 60 seconds, and coughed twice). This group shows how much bacteria one gets exposed to while out and about in public. As you can see, even just talking with a friend puts one at significant risk for infection.

With the dishes on the right, nothing was done to them in order to demonstrate exactly the risk one has when one decides to stay home and away from all of us Petri dishes.

The point of this graphic, I believe, is to show that on a typical, ordinary day, we are being constantly bombarded with pathogens that are far more dangerous and even numerous than Chickety China, the Chinese Sicken (or if you prefer, WuFlu or the China Virus). Life is not without risk, so if you're really scared of something that -- based on a lot of the statistics out there -- won't kill you like we've been lied to, then you're better off staying home and not interfering with the free choices of adults who are willing to accept the risk of living.

3
AlohaSnackbar 3 points ago +3 / -0

Life is not without risk

Yeah, and for added risk, we can watch x-files with no lights on.

TheDespotofCartoons 2 points ago +2 / -0

1
PepesCovfefe 1 point ago +1 / -0

Doesn’t the meme just show that going out exposes you and staying in doesn’t?

Now does this help promote the idea of a Wu Flu hoax plandemic?

3
TheDespotofCartoons 3 points ago +3 / -0

It does, indeed, show that going out exposes you, but not to the virus, as agar can only grow bacteria.

The overall point of the meme is that being out and living life means that there will always be a risk of infection from something, be it China Virus, regular flu, or even some kind of bacterial infection. Hell, we have a form of staph on our skin that, should it actually manage to infect us, will kill us (which is why whenever you get a shot, the nurse sterilizes the area with alcohol)!

Being an adult means that one accepts the risk of going out, and if one is really that scared, then that one needs to stay home and let the rest of us live our lives.

14
JoePCool14 14 points ago +15 / -1

6
deleted 6 points ago +7 / -1
2
TheDespotofCartoons 2 points ago +2 / -0

Don't feel stupid! That's what the left wants you to feel. You were correct: the point of the graphic is to illustrate that we are constantly at risk for infection, so if one is truly scared of getting sick, stay home and quit pulling the rest of us into your Walking Dead LARP!

2
ManyDirt 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, if COVID were bacteria (which it's not), this would be a demonstration of plating. When you have a single bacterial cell and you place it in a nutrient rich medium (like an agar plate) it will replicate. Come back after a few hours and each individual bacterium has turned into a whole colony of many, many millions of duplicated bacteria. So each of those individual dots represents one bacterial cell that was present in the beginning, theoretically. So you can see the ones with more colonies meant more bacteria was being spread.

Please stop stickying stupid anti-malarkey, anti-mask posts. Don't be stupid or act like a fool-- no one can in good faith argue that COVID-19 is not real. It's absolutely real, it has its risks for certain populations and age groups. Masks do help IF you are sick to a degree, but not enough to merit a mandatory mask order. If you are sick, stay home, and otherwise, if you choose not to wear one, that's great, as long as you understand the risks. We're all grown adults with a brain and common sense, so don't create and sticky these stupid propaganda-like (and a poor attempt at it as well) posts that make us look like we've got a tinfoil hat on.

4
sustainable_saltmine 4 points ago +5 / -1

it's real but NOWHERE NEAR as severe as being broadcasted. Masks won't protect you unless they're so dense you can't breathe at all through them, you will eventually have respiratory illness from rebreathing CO2 and bacteria you're supposed to harmlessly exhale to the open air and if the government can control you to wear a mask now, it will become a permanent regulation year-round or at least every flu season. Then they can make you do ANYTHING as long as they qualify it as "for your health"

1
bubadmt 1 point ago +3 / -2

3
doug2 3 points ago +3 / -0

I literally have zero idea what the point of this is. Zero. Bacteria? Different in public? Someone break this down for Pete's sake.

O wait, that we are breeding bacteria in the masks? Eh. Any bacteria we are spreading is already in our system and unlikely to accumulate in any significant amount to become enough to overcome native probiotics. I'm happy to see the studies that show otherwise.

The people who are pro lockdown are losers taking revenge on everybody who used to enjoy his life in freedom. Whenever I debate with pro lockdown people it is hard not to notice their glee, their enjoyment of the power of the loser mob.

2
dmcindc 2 points ago +2 / -0

All he showed is that masks help stop -bacteria- in droplets, but masks will not stop viruses.

Also, corona virus is not spread just through droplet form (and such droplets fall due to gravity, which is why the six foot distancing is recommended, because they usually fall to the ground before getting that far).... corona virus is also spread via AEROSOL form, and the virus is so small, that fabric foes NOTHING to stop air particles from getting through.

1
Hivetyrant36 1 point ago +1 / -0

This lab result is irrelevant anyways, because this ONLY works if you have the virus you are trying to prevent. Everybody wearing masks is not how they were designed to function.

1
dillydillygoodhuman 1 point ago +1 / -0

Seen this picture going around FB and the like... Coronavirus is a VIRUS, not a bacteria. Viruses are thousands of times smaller than bacteria and your mask isn't going to do much of anything for them. This picture is not equivalent to someone with Coronavirus doing the same experiment as it's intended to imply.

As of today, 0.54% of Floridians have contracted covid. Yet still people are freaking out, pretending bodies are piling up in the streets. While the nearly 4k deaths are sad, they constitute 0.015% of the entire Florida population. When confronted by these numbers, I ask myself, why the panic? It doesn't make sense.

Horse shit, the damage done to people from lockdowns far outweigh the damage done by this virus.

The death rate is the only thing that matters, and it is going down, down down.

The only reason it got so high to begin with was the democrat states that shoved thousands of covid positive into crowded nursing homes, the majority of deaths are from that and the listing of people who died "with covid" as dying "of covid"

Take New York and New Jersey out and the death rate is tiny. I would bet thousands more could have been saved if the media and democrats would not have attacked hydrochloroquine and prevented it from being used for so long.

The lock downs have cause huge harm to this country, and for what?

the petri dish shows bacterial growth, not viruses.

Viruses are 4 orders of magnitude smaller than bacteria. An N95 mask is effective in filtering particles bigger than 3 microns. The Virus is 0.2 to 0.05 microns...

Even with mask you can see bacterial growth on all cases except the two coughs.
