I'm convinced that JFK would have been a libertarian in the current era. His views on social issues were obviously a bit more liberal, but he probably would have sided more with conservatives in terms of fiscal policy. Remember, JFK was a big advocate for reduced corporate taxes, as well as a lower income tax rate, because he understood that such actions would result in economic growth.
Given what we've witnessed in the past three-and-a-half years -- and particularly in the last six months -- I don't think JFK would even recognize the Democrat Party as it exists today.
