Shower Idea - require two thumb prints on envelope and require envelope retained for 2 years. Also each envelope has a unique 24 digit code printed on it which is assigned to voter when ballot is sent out and must match with who signed returned ballot.

Also if voter ID not required for in person voting, then the voter will be photographed or if against religion then have fingerprint taken.

I don't think we should put our heads in the sand and think we can get a law passed requiring in person voting with photo ID in time for this election.

Why tamper when it is easier to throw out in trash or ‘disqualify’ ballots of your opponents?

I think everyone should vote in person with photo ID but I don't think the pres can require that for this election but he may be able to pass an executive order putting some restrictions on the voting.

And how do we enforce these things? Will an election official be stationed at every corner mailbox to check IDs? And if someone steals my ballot out of my mailbox before I can get to it, they can sign my name on it.

that's why require a thumb print. Don't really like idea of mail in voting but I don't think we should put our heads in the sand and think that we are going to get a law passed requiring in person voting with photo ID for the Nov election

Thumb print wouldn't work either. A ballot thief can lift my thumbprint right off my mailbox while he's stealing my ballot. Or my car or outside stair railing. And I don't think everyone's thumbprints are on record. I've never been arrested so I know mine aren't. I just can't see any secure way to vote by mail.
