I used to laugh at that. But then my county made masks MANDATORY EVERYWHERE. And I'm so &U#)( U(UFGH(#R*) pissed off that I pretend to put my mask on as I walk in, and then I just wear it as a chin diaper once I'm past the door, in protest of this flagrant abuse of my rights.
If I have to wear it, then FUCK YOU i'm wearing it wrong. IDGAF. Theres others, many others, doing the same thing I'm doing. Pretty soon we will be hanging the masks off one ear. We are testing the boundaries until they fucking either crack down or give up.
I KNOW im partially mad at myself. I freakin should just walk right in places and to hell with it. But I am a female with a family and many dependents. And all I want is milk and shampoo and to get the fuck home, knowwhatimsayin. So its like a compromise. But I understand group psychology, and I will fight covert. There are many of us in the store, i can see them. We are enough that if we keep pushing it and pushing it, we will bring this shit to a head.
If I was a male with a beefy savings account and no dependents, I would walk right the fuck in anyway. I'd let them fine me, I'd take it to court, I'd hire tom fitton, and I'd appeal the shit out of it til it was resolved. So when someone does it, you best believe I am donating to their legal fund.
Without a mask, I touch my face zero times. With one on, I'm constantly touching it and pulling it down to breathe when no one is around. Then I touch stuff on store shelves, so if I have COVID I'm going to do way more spreading with a mask on.
I'm still not convinced about this asymptomatic spread from just walking within 6' of someone. It sounds like compete bull to me. That, and we are also supposed to believe masks don't protect you, but they protect other people?
There is no documented asymptomatic spread. Tests are actually debunking it! 420 ppl or so iirc exposed to asymptomatic person, contact tracings found zero contracted the virus.
what is even funnier to me are the people who wear gloves and then touch their phone. I see them pushing their cart with their gloves, get their phone out, gloves still on and will text or dial... then put that phone against their face...
Most people CHOOSE to wear them incorrectly. Business are mandated to require a ‘face cover’. Instead of arguing with the proprietor or their employees, people just slap on some BS and play the game.
Lots of people wearing them where I live, but a large proportion don't even wear them correctly (nose hanging out most commonly). So fucking stupid.

I pretty much have to wear one with my nose out, or it fogs my glasses.
Fellow eyeglass wearer here. True story.
Also wear glasses, can confirm.

If you're off work*
Some of us are required to wear them at work.
Touching everything around them, constantly adjusting and itching under it. I just laugh at how stupid these people are.
Oh I know. Work made it mandatory to wear one and given I'm out in the Florida sun all day it's driving me insane.
