I mentioned to my black friend I may have an Independence day party. She said fuck 4th of July so I told her fuck you. Proceeds to tell me a black man doesn’t have freedom, America and white people are racist, stole the land from Indians among other irrelevant or straight up bullshit including gaslighting about juneteenth. Says history should be rewritten. Had to say I’m not being friends with someone racist against me. Have to stand up for America before anything. It seems like fake news is wrapping up the child exploitation and corruption with the idea of America (and Trump) and has to be replaced with communism. Anyway I’m happy to have fellow pedes to communicate with on here, so thank you.

Hey, that went down terribly.
I find that you can often say, "Well, we're going to BBQ and get together. If you can not scream or be rude, you are welcome to come and protest. Beer and food is on me."
Of course, depends on the friend. I see it as a religious thing - everyone has a Jehovahs Witness kid they played with on the playground, but never celebrated a birthday or Halloween. They were okay people, just lived by their own rules.
