Amusingly enough, much like they've gone after Michael Moore lately, the majority of the left, and especially among the media and academia loathe Matt Taibbi with a burning passion. He's the only non-right wing journalist who called bullshit on the Russia hoax and Kavanaugh, and is regulalry accused of being an alt-right trrumper and a racist these days. Which is how they've basically slandered the white male Bernie Sanders voter since 2016.
It's a miracle he hasn't been cancel cultured off Rolling Stone lately, although he said something on his substack to the extent that there's some things he's not allowed to write about there (much like Andrew Sullivan at the New Yorker was prevented from writing about the looting or Gone with the Wind).
Still, if Trump is going to win in 2020, he has to get the same 15% of Bernie voters he got in 2016.
