"It is not Germany that will turn Bolshevist, but Bolshevism that will become a sort of National Socialism. Besides, there is more that binds us to Bolshevism than separate us from it… The petit bourgeois Social-Democrat and the trade-union boss will never make a National Socialist, but the Communist always will."

You're wrong, though.

When/where did Hitler say that? I can't find any primary sources. I agree that 2020 leftism has more in common with Hitler than 2020 conservatism, but that doesn't mean Hitler was a Marx-loving commie "leftist".

Obviously a lot has changed in the last 100 years. The left-right arguments we make today don't really for the mold of the 1930's very well. I guess that's what I'm wary of people saying. Saying "Hitler was a leftist!" is a stupid thing to say without any context. He identified as right-wing at the time, although we could make the argument today that conservatives have less in common with him than leftists. To boot, conservatives today are basically classic liberals of yesteryear (freedom, small government, etc).

It's not a black and white argument since the world we live in is so different. I don't want us to stoop down to BLM-leftist levels and view history without any context.

So you just said the definitions have changed and then claim his version of right wing is applicable? When he clearly promoted progressive and leftist policies! You negated your own point.

Promoting Marxist lies that national Socialists weren't socialists requires deportation.

Get on the helicopter if you can't accept history.

Nah man. I'm suggesting he lied about being a socialist to gain popular support. He governed like a dictator once in power. Actions speak louder than words. Same could be said about Stalin. I don't think he meant much of what he said about political ideology.

I think this is similar to BLM not actually caring about black lives.

I'm not promoting Marxist lies, I'm trying to have an intelligent discussion about history. We should be above low IQ identity politics.

You are, though. The communists don't want the Nazis despite their having been allies by choice.

So they promote national socialism as right wing. To give credence to their lie is to promote leftism.

One must be ignorant of or lying about Nazi policies to believe they were not actually leftists. Hitler was merely plagiarizing Marx's hatred of Jews.

He was inspired by American leftists and even praised FDR.

Please consider whether you want to continue to be a Trump supporter or a leftist apologist. Your intentions don't matter. The outcomes from your choices do.
