For an entire generation it has been preached that gay people were "born that way" and that they can't/shouldn't change who they are. Now I'm being told that I was "born racist" and that I should be doing something about it. Both of these things can't be true.

Studies of identical twins where one of the twins is gay, the other will be about 50% of the time. This means it's not "genetic" technically. But something could happen in utero which means they were "born that way". Otherwise it could be environmental. Either way, it's not the person's fault.

Alternately, some people choose to "explore" aberrant sexuality for fun/power/popularity/attention. Which is wrong.
