good for them, though they should maybe get some gun training. taking my wife for training next weekend. getting myself formally trained as well.
Certainly goes without saying, but waving a gun around, wide eyed and crazy seems to work pretty well too.
Both are effective against "peaceful" protesters, but only training works against a MOB.

thats a good first start. look into shooting 3-gun compeitively. if you take up that hobby you will be out shooting almost everyone.
