I noticed the left speaks of private property and personal property like two completely different things. I think it's part of an effort to validate them seizing your private property while saying "But we're not taking your PERSONAL property!"

Close....

Personal property: their possessions.

Private property: your possessions.

This personal vs private property is an integral part of Marxist theory. So if the party is generous you might own your personal toothbrush but something like a owning a car is seen as unfair private property and is forbidden (unless you are party elite of course). With good behaviour you can maybe share state owned car with 10 other people.

The 55gr 5.56 FMJ bullet is:

  • personal property when loaded in my rifle
  • public property when flying through the air
  • private property when embedded in a Commie's chest

They had to create the distinction in their effort to make communism more palatable.
