I have zero respect for the governor of wa and mayor of seattle too

Same! Lmao they refused the help of the police or government to remove the ppl from Chaz either. They get what they fucking deserve!

Take over mayor Jen-A's house or the governor's house and see how long it lasts

I hope the people that voted for them see the consequences of their vote. Maybe next time vote for people based on skill rather than perceived wokeness.

Trump wants them to ask for help, circumventing the precedent. He said at the Tulsa rally he could have Seattle cleaned up in an hour if Inslee asked him to do it.

The Feds are already quietly rolling up other folks and charging them, so i am fine if all this gets the attention.

Honestly, CHAZ has probably been an easy redpill, since it obviously forces the contradictions inherent in the Left to come to play.

The whole premise of identity politics is to manipulate people into 'identifying' with the ideology, primarily based on victimhood. And whose life has been so perfect that we haven't at some point felt unfairness and injustice. It's psychological weakness that they've targeted.

jgardner 3 points ago +5 / -2

Anything that can be solved by one person in an elevated position in less than an hour is not really that big of a deal.

sadly, that's true. Some living in the surrounding Seattle suburbs are, at least publicly, still quite supportive. We'll see how long that lasts.

If there is direct violence in suburban neighborhoods that may change, but it's hard to say. They still think "We're on your side!" will protect them.

3
capital-knight 3 points ago +4 / -1

Check out r/seattleWA if you dare to go back to that site. It is normally filled with CHAZ supporters, but after today’s shooting its feeling strangely red out there. I work in the area so I have to use that subreddit to keep a pulse on what is going on.

2
incogneato 2 points ago +3 / -1

I may do that. Thanks, and stay safe out there.

I know some folks who work at the downtown FB, very close to the Space Needle and about two miles from the CHAZ, but I don't think they've had to actually go to the office for a while. I hope not.

1
capital-knight 1 point ago +2 / -1

Thank you. I work for another large tech company out there. If FB follows similar procedures, they should be able to stay home until Oct. Either way its not cool to see. I am only here for work so I don’t have any attachment to the city, but this is still our country. Its hard to take when you are close to the chaos in some way.

9
Unhappymeal 9 points ago +9 / -0

Seattle cop here. The OVERWHELMING majority of normal folk and left leaning people I run into daily are horrified at this. I fully expect to see change on the horizon. This has been a wake up call to the lazy non-voters here in Seattle.

3
Greatest_adventure 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thank God! And thank you for your dedication.

22
IntrepidBurger 22 points ago +22 / -0

He's carefully threading a needle here. Can't look weak by taking inaction, but can't go in hard because that'll be used against him in November.

You're right that it's mostly making Dems look bad, which is why I think GEOTUS is letting is persist a little while longer.

19
Italians_Invented_2A 19 points ago +19 / -0

There is no "dangerous precedent" in this political arena anymore. The Democrats would care less than zero about precedents, they'll do everything they possibly can against us.

10
The_Litehaus_Abides 10 points ago +10 / -0

This is the true statement. IF Democrats ever get back into power, they will go scorched earth on everyone because they are communists at this point.

They'll stack the supreme Court with extra judges and remove the 2nd Amendment via activism. They'll make mail-in voting permanent and never "lose" another election. Etc., etc., etc.

16
Pray_The_Rosary 16 points ago +16 / -0

Its the job of the government to protect its people and follow the Constitution. Allowing states and local governments to create anarchy and break away from the federal government with sanctuary status is not avoiding a dangerous precedent.

Seriously. When will y'all get it through your heads that the liberals don't care what you do or how much you held back? The liberals will establish a totalitarian government regardless of precedent. They don't care about the law, honor, people, or subtlety.

Only thing the tactic of "We should do nothing so the liberals don't make things worse" has ever done is offer liberals little or no resistance to their Marxist takeover.

There is nothing, nothing at all, that says the federal government shouldn't put down insurrectionists and terrorists that threaten American citizens. The Democrats will throw a tantrum and attack us but they do that regardless of what we do.

2
momofteddy 2 points ago +2 / -0

but if they use it to impeach Trump again and this time have paid enough Republicans to also then Trump talking about doing something is the right thing to do. Sorry but i have to side with Trump on this. I live o the east side of the state so my vote never counts since Seattle alone makes up the same amount of people as the whole east side together do. I do so wish that states would go to electrol college for their governors though, it would help counter the huge cities!

15

No. They will take their lucrative pensions and retire to safe gated communities with private security. We taxpayers will pay the cost of their malfeasance.

2
operator1214 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's why I think the mayor and governor need to be personally sued -- if there is a way to do so,then please let it be done.

Make them personally pay for the pain and hardship they've caused. Same with de Blasio and Cuomo, Whitmer and the rest.

2

9

Yeah well, the problem with suing government is that the taxpayer foots the bill.

Businesses have been leaving since 2017 and leadership has done nothing but try to raise taxes. Businesses were being looted long before CHAZ. Lack of accountability has been a staple of WA state and Seattle for a very long time.

8
jgardner 8 points ago +8 / -0

You misspelled '1999'. They've been leaving since WTO.

At one point in the early aughts, Seattle was a ghost town.

A few years back an expose was released entitled "Seattle is Dying".

Seattle used to be an important city, but it has been in a state of decay for decades now.

6
booblitchutz 6 points ago +6 / -0

West coast states' cites have been slowly invaded by addicts for years. They take what they want and do as they please with complete support of the city governments.

LA, SF, Portland, Seattle...

This is the army they have been importing for a decade.

7

To be fair, that's probably where a lot of them came from.

4
booblitchutz 4 points ago +4 / -0

There has been a migration over the last 6 years or so to the west coast of addicts since they started legalizing drugs and theft.

This is the rotten fruit that has been born of that effort.

8
AlphaNathan 8 points ago +8 / -0

Why would they respect those idiots?

2
glompywompy 2 points ago +2 / -0

They don't, these ppl know Democrats are useful idiots that will allow them to get away with treason and bend a knee to them... The mobsters thinks the same way... They love Trump but preferred Hillary in 2016 because they can control her.

7
theSocraticChallenge 7 points ago +7 / -0

To be fair, the mayor and governor don't deserve their respect

5

3

Is it sad that we have to watch leaders be taught how to lead, rather than just sit back and take money for nothing? It’s like watching a dog teach a puppy how to climb stairs. Except the puppy isn’t a puppy.

1
jgardner 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're pretty funny. Have you thought of trying stand-up?

The far-left activists attacked a conservative member of the legislature for starting a rebellion, and the republican leadership piled on.

You think there are any leaders in Washington State with a spine?

Remember, they stole the election from Dino Rossi and he just went home and sighed.

rootGoose 3 points ago +4 / -1

What do you mean "we"?

Both Seattle and Washington state are quite capable of clearing them out.

In fact, both of them tried to tempt the President into stepping in and exposing him to erroneous blame for doing a right thing. He didn't take the bait.

So, "we" need to let them fix their own mess.

4

3

3

They set a trap for TRUMP. They trapped themselves.

3
Staatssicherheit 3 points ago +3 / -0

Instead of the stupid "we support BLM, but please get the police here" lawsuit, all of the businesses had to do was to tell Trump that they want freedom from BLM/Antifa. The fault lies entirely with the people who live there who won't stand up. They can die on their knees.

3

You'd think, but no. These cities have been importing addicts for a decade and bleeding revenue. They jack up the taxes, more people leave, the jack it up more.. etc

At some point you think it would break, but nope. Foreign real estate investors keep property values up and pay higher and higher tax rates because it's cheaper than handing their fortune over to the ChiComs.

2
FuckRioters 2 points ago +2 / -0

https://thedonald.win/p/FzYkH01X/blm-given-20-million-to-leave-ch/c/

^ No idea if this is true, but supposedly there's a $20m donation from Seattle to some organization(s) associated with CHAZ

Of course if anyone understands how mobs, anarchist-movements, blm-protests, etc work is that the can be (and are) manipulated by professional protesters but don't exactly have leaders. The leaders only really have experience with suggesting the mob chant something, or attack something. These "leaders/manipulators" have zero experience in de-escalation.

Hyping up a mob for several weeks with radical propoganda, and then saying "it's okay, we can go home" doesn't work.

1
