Check out r/seattleWA if you dare to go back to that site. It is normally filled with CHAZ supporters, but after today’s shooting its feeling strangely red out there. I work in the area so I have to use that subreddit to keep a pulse on what is going on.
I know some folks who work at the downtown FB, very close to the Space Needle and about two miles from the CHAZ, but I don't think they've had to actually go to the office for a while. I hope not.
Thank you. I work for another large tech company out there. If FB follows similar procedures, they should be able to stay home until Oct. Either way its not cool to see. I am only here for work so I don’t have any attachment to the city, but this is still our country. Its hard to take when you are close to the chaos in some way.
sadly, that's true. Some living in the surrounding Seattle suburbs are, at least publicly, still quite supportive. We'll see how long that lasts.
If there is direct violence in suburban neighborhoods that may change, but it's hard to say. They still think "We're on your side!" will protect them.

I may do that. Thanks, and stay safe out there.
