The rights they were not allowed to remove in the first place.

You actually have a duty not to.

“We had hoped to continue the beach closure until after the Fourth of July weekend,”

Notice it isn't "we were planning to continue closures for another week for XYZ reason". They wanted it closed BECAUSE IT WAS THE 4TH.

novanleon 13 points ago +13 / -0

It wouldn't surprise me at all.

RandoMando 3 points ago +3 / -0

I keyed in on that one sentence as well.

34
spezisacuckold 34 points ago +34 / -0

"Follow this order"

"FUCK NO"

"Okay, do as you please."

More people need to participate in civil disobedience. Fuck these communist sympathizers.

5
chlofefe 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah especially with these people...Gavin has shown time and time again that he will back down if we resist him. So...just hold the line.

SoldanoSlo 26 points ago +26 / -0

At first, locals and visitors followed the rules, but as time went on, more and more people started jogging and playing volleyball, and eventually started staking their umbrellas and laying out their towels.

Wow such dangerous activities.

Can they do that without burning shit down and looting? I'm not clear on "civil disobedience".

44
whiskey_shitz 44 points ago +44 / -0

"People are not willing to be governed any more in that regard"

Lol. They aren't willing to be abused by tyrants on a power trip. These Democrats have a serious reckoning headed their way.

If police even try to enforce these ridiculous mask/plague edicts in round 2 after they see how their politicians left them out to dry, they are insane.

25
neverreddit 25 points ago +25 / -0

👆👆👆 exactly. My local CA cops understood this very early. I have seen a lot of people breaking corona directives. I have seen Karens calling the cops to report them. And I have never seen the cops ever come to enforce it.

18
STEVE_HUFFMANS_BULL 18 points ago +18 / -0

Suburban CA reporting in. City police aren’t even trying to enforce social distancing anymore, never mind the masks. Stores are the only place I’ve seen it, I think because they’re scared of some Karen telling the county and getting them shut down

Speaking of, Karens seem to be limited to posting on nextdoor. I haven’t seen one in the wild for a long time

neverreddit 16 points ago +16 / -0

I had a male Karen (Ken?) Stare ne down at the grocery. When I made eye contact with him he attempted to menacingly tap his mask at me. Which made me guffaw. He then started literally hopping trying to get the security guard to force me into a mask, which of course he absolutely did not do because they finally figured out how illegal that is.

4
OGTD1 4 points ago +4 / -0

I tried to vote without a mask and a guy started screaming the f word in my face. Only backed off when I asked him if he was intimidating my vote.

9
based_unicorn 9 points ago +9 / -0

I had my first in real life run-in with a Karen last weekend on the beach in Marin County (not surprising). She yelled at me and my friend “SIX FEET DISTANCE” when we were walking near her. On the beach. Psychotic!

6
HockeyMom4Trump 6 points ago +6 / -0

If people are that afraid, perhaps they should just stay home.

3
based_unicorn 3 points ago +3 / -0

My thoughts exactly.

You know--I live in a California County that has had hardly any cases, but now rising...

We wear a mask because we fit some of the checkmarks...but if in the casino eating a meal...I don't wear one...going into the store I do...whatever. It is pretty lax around here. Some folks do, others don't and no one seems to care one way or another.

We gotta do what we got to do to protect ourselves. Others have to do the same. We do wear gloves most of the times when in town....that is more prudent in our opinion.

There are the Fearbros and the Flubros...neither one is right...

Cyer6 5 points ago +5 / -0

Karens seem to be limited to posting on nextdoor.

That's the only place I see them here in Texas. I saw one today bitching about firecrackers and her real name was actually Karen.

I live in Saint Cruz county. This past weekend the beaches and boardwalk were packed. On the local subreddit and Nextdoor group all of the maskers and anti-fascists were complaining and wanting a more fascist police intervention.

Santa Cruz born and raised here. You nailed it. I can't stand the people here.

15
MindingPsNQs 15 points ago +15 / -0

Yes, closing the beaches was ridiculous. But their rules were humiliating. Closed from 11:00 AM to 5:00 pm. OK to walk at waters edge and to swim and surf, but not OK to stand still and watch your kids in the water. No blankets, ice chests, chairs, umbrellas on the beach... just keep moving.

The Sheriff didn't have the resources to enforce the beach closure. The Karens were howling because of all the 'rule breakers'... Heh,

First they obeyed, then they complained, then they ignored, and then they won...

3
HockeyMom4Trump 3 points ago +3 / -0

I would think sitting in one place on the beach would have been safer than having to constantly keep moving around...their rules were so arbitrary and made no sense. Americans are smarter than that.

14
HillarysFatAss 14 points ago +14 / -0

How can governments expect the normal citizenry to obey clearly unconstitutional directives like this, when mobs are congregating everywhere, largely with the tacit approval of these same officials. Fuck them. As far as I'm concerned, the virus was "cured" when the first statue came down. I will not comply.

3
Cyer6 3 points ago +3 / -0

This. They lost the debate, the fight, the battle when they moved the goalposts by supporting rioters and sweeping the scamdemic under the carpet for a month. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. The enforcement arm of their bullshit face diapers are now businesses. Texas R's argued this point with Abbott about a week ago. They said there's no legal or lawful measure to impose face-diapers on citizens so the people now being tasked with enforcing these unconstitutional mandates are businesses under threat of being fined or having their licenses revoked. I hope there's some lawsuits in the works to get these orders struck down.

2
HillarysFatAss 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh there will be lawsuits. By stock in popcorn companies.

1
Cyer6 1 point ago +1 / -0

I sure hope so.

Good!

13
TrumpTrain 13 points ago +13 / -0

You mean dumping sand on the beach won’t work like they did to the skate park?

6
HockeyMom4Trump 6 points ago +6 / -0

How stupid was that? People will look back at this time and see how ridiculous it was. Sand in a skatepark...smh

1
TrumpTrain 1 point ago +1 / -0

But rioting and massive protests, police just watch and Mayors support them

11
SemperFree 11 points ago +11 / -0

Orders are not law. Unlawful Orders shall not be followed.

10
GilaMonsterous 10 points ago +10 / -0

I'm hoping people take the same approach to those dumb 'masks while in public' decrees as well.

2
DingoMan5000 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yup CA pede here, 80% people in my town walk around with no mask, in the outskirts of LA county

9
Keiichi81 9 points ago +9 / -0

The State only has the power that We The People give them. They literally can't do shit if we all just collectively decide we aren't going to do as they say anymore.

I was watching The Five today. We were told by Dana maybe or Dagan we need masks so we can open up and go back to work. Dan B looked pained. Obviously required rhetoric.

This is okay though, because the Leftist media said that protests are safe vs. Trump rally's because when you're outdoors it's okay.

2
horseface_aint_black 2 points ago +2 / -0

CA is all up to locals. Even bars in sacramento county are packed with no distancing or masks. In yolo, you cant use a gas station bathroom without a mask. I had to piss on the storefront.

2
CommietownUSA 2 points ago +2 / -0

I went to dine-in in a Central Valley city last weekend to get away from the lame-area. The restaurant had a sign requiring mask. My cousin and I walked in without one and no one said shit. We spent a good amount eating like free men and left a good tip. Felt soooo fucking goood.

They watched political leaders say okay to the protests. Those hypcritical leaders just lost their power.

1
stormdraintrooper 1 point ago +1 / -0

Santa Cruz people basically give no fucks. It's about the only lib place I can tolerate. It doesn't have the anger and rage cancer like over the hill. They don't like the people from over the hill... It's agriculture, surfing, and tourism. Lot's of pot of course. Many good times. Shitheads everywhere though.

MegoThor 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just a peaceful protest.

Let's be clear, you commie fucks (Santa Cruz govt, not you guys):

"Deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed"

Consent

Of

The

Governed

This is non-fucking-negotiable.
