I've proudly walked into booths every time wearing a MAGA hat. Aside from a few snide remarks, it's never been an issue. This time, it might be more entertaining. I'll have to wear a MAGA jacket, shirt, and button as well.
Dunno about your county. In mine, displaying or wearing any campaign paraphanelia is called electioneering and it is disallowed within a certain distance from the polling site. If you vote in and out quickly enough they are basically unenforceable unless a sheriff is already at the polling site. The problem comes when you try to hang out around the site, do exit polling, leave your car parked too close, at cetera. That will bring the law down on you.
10 years ago I volunteered as a webmaster for a political party. We could get our hands on the voter rolls easy. I probably still have a disc around here somewhere with the voter results from the 2008 election for a whole county. This stuff isn't secret, any political party can request it.
Too much difficulty there, probably easier to run an algorithm on social media and networking information to determine your probable vote.
If you are worried about cheating in the elections, go into your county clerk recorders office and ask to work for(!) or watch the elections process. Vote by mail starts early. I think in California we start opening ballots a couple weeks before election day. Then the counting can go on for around a month before the results must be certified.
Watching the polls is nothing compared to the weeks long process!
They can go back and see who you voted for, anyways! At least here, the voter book (with my signature, name, and address) has the number ballot I cast. Who's to say someone can't tie the two together??

Fair. I'm sure that was true where I was. Probably why I got scowls, beyond just being in a lefty city. Okay, so maybe just the hat. :)

Party afilliation yes. That you voted yes... but WHO you voted for?
It's been a long time. Maybe it wasn't as specific as I remember. We definitely knew which houses to go to and which houses to ignore.
