Cuomo realized that he had murdered so many people with Corona that he was losing the narrative on how dangerous guns are so now he pulled back the cops, locked down all the citizens, mailed out plenty of money for the people to buy booze and drugs and he is letting his plan work it’s anti-gun magic.
Are you claiming that no-one in NYC has received unemployment with the additional $400/wk COVID enhancement yet?
I’m not sure how a couple could be owed $20k. $400/wk at 12 weeks each would be $4800/each for a total of $9,600 potential benefit owed to the couple (depending on start dates but I think the time frame is pretty close).
If their unemployment is high enough to make the amount owed $20k then these are high income earners and might not qualify for some of the Covid benefits. However, they should still qualify for unemployment assuming they meet other requirements.
If the $20k is part of the paycheck protection/loan system then they could easily be stuck in that system as rumors are indicating most of it mysteriously ended up in the hands of larger businesses that supported the local politicians and unions though I have seen no real corroboration of this beyond rumors.

They are actually smart these liberal politicians. The city is broke and now they actually tricked the population into wanting reduced gov services.
