The best part of /fatpeoplehate were the stories of people who, with the help of the sub and its members, privately processed their shame into improving their dietary and exercise regimen. Now you see reddit banning all the anti-pornography subs, how does that not give the average person pause?
As someone who hated FPH, I can even very much agree with this AND be 100% for FPH.win. I know for some people, FPH was a motivator. For others like myself, the Fat Logic sub - with its IMHO less asinine but blunt with the science of weight loss approach - was the great awakening that led to self improvement. That's what great about the internet, options for everyone. If the fat logic sub ever gets the axe I'd love to see reborn it elsewhere too. I still lurk there, but I mostly avoid the comments. They often lean left, NOT liberal, and I've seen numerous obvious political comments ignored despite their "no politics" crap rule.

I tried to register /r/fatpeoplehelp and it was squatted by someone who was involved in promoting the ban of fph.
