Private property is no longer private? When they passed through that gate, they were no longer peaceful protesters. They were trespassers.

I don't give a damn if they are Democrats. They were exercising their rights and they have my support.

They were not 'peaceful protesters' long before that point, they may have never been 'peaceful protesters'.

'Peaceful protest' requires a permit, requires that the permit parameters are obeyed, requires that everyone comports themselves in a PEACEFUL manner. A place is designated, and if you want amplified sound that usually has to be permitted, if you want to march that has to be permitted, separately, with planning for street closures and detours. The whole idea behind 'peaceful protest', or as it is deemed at times 'speech', is that your protest must not incorporate damages to society and business.

That's the thing, these terrorists do NOT obtain permits, do not arrange detours to keep the public safe, do not remain in the areas permitted. They are not peaceful or protesters, they are rioters and terrorists, thugs and criminals, each one and as a herd too. A conspiracy really, crime syndicate because they do plan and produce these crimes, conspiracy/RICO.

Even if that was a public street they would still be terrorists because they had no permits, no permits equals no peaceful intent or purpose, so riot.

The police will not intervene and restore the Rule of Law, if we want Law we are going to have to remake it, we are going to have to respect reality and enforce it in real time, expecting no help but only hindrance from government.

Or the mob wins, they may have already destroyed America in fact, we're going down to third world faster than Venezuela did.

11
CovfefeNegro 11 points ago +11 / -0

I bet they don't, they are empathetic with BLM and the Enemy, not with America.

They have already been begging BLM to plz don't hurt them, they claim they were only holding guns because of the white agitators.

That property will be for sale soon, cheap if you're looking for a soon-to-be-haunted-mansion.

Lol “permit to protest”. Come one pede. That’s ridiculous.

Oi you got a loicense for that free speech??

22
deleted 22 points ago +23 / -1
14
HuggableBear 14 points ago +14 / -0

The permits aren't there to allow free speech, dingus, they're there to serve as notification to the government that the protest is going to happen so law enforcement can be prepared. If you just show up without telling the cops what you're doing and without the community knowing that it's going to be taking place, you end up with a riot. That's what the permits are there to prevent.

2
Jaqueso 2 points ago +3 / -1

If you don’t need permission then you don’t need a permit.

A permit is a permission slip.

No permits for speech. No permits for public assembly, unless you’re trying to interfere with something like traffic or business. No permits for guns. No permits for voting. No permits for legal representation. No permits to vote. No permits for due process. No permits for religion. No permits for FREEDOM.

9
CovfefeNegro 9 points ago +12 / -3

First of all, Freedom isn't Free.

You're not understanding the reality of Protest, it seems. When you wish to rally or Assemble, if you do that on private property then you need no permissions from anyone. If you wish to do that on public property then you must do it Peacefully, which means you do not infringe upon Society, do not cause hurt to Society, do not restrict businesses or interfere in the normal doings of Society.

If you do wish to have that peaceful protest, exercise public Speech as it were, then yes, you do have to arrange to do that so as to NOT be a burden upon the public. So you arrange a public space, pay fees and sometimes establish escrow or a bond for insurances against damages and police protections and clean up, all the usual things.

You need to permit a sound amplifier too because it may be that also disturbs Society. Then if you wish to March you obviously cannot block roads peacefully unless you arrange detours and pay for signage and sometimes/usually police to direct traffic.

If you do not obtain permits then you ARE accosting Society. Blocking sidewalks or streets is criminal, it does real damages, it is not 'peaceful', it is criminal.

You seem to be willfully in refusal of Law, the Rule of Law.

Civil disobedience is not 'Speech', peaceful protest IS considered speech IF it is peaceful. You would blur those lines, exactly as the Enemy does.

Yes, I have a license for my Speech, always, because I do it properly. Sometimes I arrange to utilize my Speech in a manner not requiring assembly, thus no permit required. If a BLM terrorist wishes to stand on the corner alone with his sign he is welcome, no permit needed, he may utilize his Speech. If he gathers with 50 others and no permit, it is riot, terrorism, criminal.

These things used to be taught in public school, civics and government classes, duties and responsibilities of Citizens and Society, restrictions of government and Rights of People.

I guess too many people simply don't understand or want Rule of Law.

Yeah, you need a permit to be a legal peaceful protest on public property.

You're welcome.

A permit is not necessary.

1
CovfefeNegro 1 point ago +1 / -0

Excuse me? A permit is not necessary for what...? To assemble in numbers on public property as an 'event' it is necessary in most places where we have Rule of Law. To block a road it is necessary, to amplify sound it is necessary.

If 2 people want to hang on a corner with signs it is not necessary, three or more people usually is the trigger point.

https://civilrights.findlaw.com/enforcing-your-civil-rights/protest-laws-by-state.html

https://www.aclu.org/know-your-rights/protesters-rights/

These things used to be taught in our schools, our Society is becoming less aware of reality, further removed from common sense and the Rule of Law daily.

Yeah, permits are definitely required for 'peaceful protest'; all else is riot.

https://files.catbox.moe/zesg07.mp4

1
Cadastral 1 point ago +1 / -0

Generally a permit is not required for small groups or for people responding to breaking events. The right to peaceably assemble and protest (petition the government for redress) is enshrined in our Constitution, and like all such rights thus has had a huge set of laws created around it. But there are a lot of challenges to those laws. The general principle is that the government can only barely limit it.

Of course, what BLM is doing is rioting and looting, not protesting - which is not a protected activity.

And in this case, these people broke into private property, so it's also obviously not legitimate protest.

1
CovfefeNegro 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hate to tell you but most places do require those permits even for small groups.

Sanctuary city cops and other agencies who refuse to follow Law may well show favoritism to a group but that isn't kosher/legal, it is simply corrupt government at work.

Responding to events is not a thing, such a notion has no effect on the Law. Any agency which says you can march without permits because Floyd died or the team lost a title game is corrupt.

Nice thing about the Law is it is finite, until agendas show up with lawyers.

YEAH, sure we have the right to assemble, but interrupting Society does require permits, every time. Rent a hall for your speech, use your mama's basement for speech, use your boyfriend's cow pasture, no permit required. But use our public property or block roads, thus disrupting Society and placing the public in danger, always requires permits. Permits cover the costs of damages and supplying police, detouring traffic, protecting business...they prevent riots.

But assembling in public sans permits is riot/terrorism, it is not speech, peaceful or lawful.

Cops who allow it are corrupted, mayors who encourage it are corrupted, governors who refuse to send in the Guard are corrupt, evil cowards.

Run/rantoff/exe.

The concept of 'peaceful protest' seems to be very difficult for people to understand, for some reason logic and common sense and Law has become difficult. I'd like to suggest everyone get a copy of the Federalist Papers, read them.

This is incorrect. Do some additional research.

1
CovfefeNegro 1 point ago +1 / -0

The moment your Right to Speech interferes with Society your Rights end.

They’re attempting to squash any resistance and create fear for those brave enough to resist. We need to start publicly organizing against this behavior. The left is very good at quickly amassing. We need to start amassing ourselves or we will watch our rights be stripped before our eyes.

except that they need training on how to better handle their weapons

Only the woman, imo. She had pretty poor trigger discipline and could have accidentally popped one off, but dude had his finger fully off the trigger.

Yes, he was pointing the weapon at the crowd but there's no way I'd want to risk having enough time to raise my rifle and aim if 5-6 people all suddenly charged at once. They were close enough to be an actual threat.

This letter sounds like placating to the left. If they were going to do something, they would. The DA is probably putting pressure on law enforcement to present a case and being told, "we don't see a brandishing violation here."

2
DatNewbChemist 2 points ago +2 / -0

The woman definitely did but my guess was that was either her carry that she has in her purse but never really uses or a spare that the guy gave her before they went outside. She needed to keep her finger off the trigger and aim to send the message or have both hands in proper position but have the gun pointed towards the ground so she wouldn’t risk needlessly firing at someone.

I felt the guy did it okay. He wasn’t there to kill, he was there to scare them away. If he actually started aiming things may have escalated to a point where protesters felt the need to retaliate - regardless of whether or not he actually intended to fire.

-6
Acucksta -6 points ago +1 / -7

It wasn’t their property. They smashed a community gate. You cannot defend common property even if it’s private without express permission from the association or management organization.

3
saveMySpeech 3 points ago +4 / -1

The gate literally said "private street".

-5
Acucksta -5 points ago +1 / -6

Doesn’t matter unless you’re the security guard. It’s not the home owners’ street so they cannot legally point guns at people who are trespassing on it. This is a good thing, btw. Imagine you invite a Black friend over and he’s on the street and your neighbor pulls a gun on him.
