The chop is in one of the busiest parts of town, and there are roads that cut east to west right there that I could easily see one needing or wanting to take trying to get from downtown east to madison or north mlk neighborhoods. Those people in this post were trying to shift blame to the child with things like "he shouldn't have been out so late in such a dangerous area." Seeing as how that would be a given, why bring it up? One often will do things like this to blame-shift. An example of that would be thinking something along the lines of "the kid was out at 3am, he's probably a gangbanger or something" or "I bet he was there to fuck with the chaz anyway." That kind of thinking is designed to take some of the blame and responsibility for what happened off of the murderer, and onto the person who was killed.
So when I start postulating ideas about how his 3am car trip MAY have been legit, and we don't know, why would that prompt someone to then reply to me specifically, to point out that the outer perimiter of the chaz is practically the same thing as inside the chaz? Because the implication is that the kid WAS in a way asking for it. Why ask 'what parent is letting them drive at this hour'...?
