Reddit has peaked big time. The reddit community has become too big, when i joined eleven years ago the mood and vibe was so different then it is now. It was happy and fun almost hippielike. Now it is rough, shouty and pointers everywhere about what to think, how to behave etc. Reddit has gone from happy small town suburbia to rough inner city metropolitan city.

Some of the big subs I follow have more and more political correctness and "correct think"-stuffing, but there are no good alternatives anymore. There used to pop up new active subreddits all the time, it is just not happening anymore. Even though reddits userbase is the largest ever, nothing new happens and with reddits purging and going in 110% with their perceived version of political correctness, that progress will only accelerate.

Left is a site with a few big communities that becomes more and more echo chambers, with the same persons and bots posting and commenting and more and more are just passive lurkers that eventually will stop going to reddit completely.

I love reddits format of forum/discussions, it is by far the best, good content is on top, good comments is in top, comments spawn their own discussions etc. It is also easily copied, so now i have two fresh accounts at .win and ruqqus and will probably spend more time at those places :)
