It sure feels that way. Both candates, Romney and McCain were absolutely shit. I think they threw the fight both times on purpose.
By the way, i believe Romney is a deep state traitor and is a Rino. How he's still in the Republican party i will never know. That asshole voted to impeach Trump. I hope when his job is on the line, Trump goes to Utah and campaigns heavily against him. I cant stand that prick Romney.

Very much so.. they brutalized her to the max that year. That was the fuel to McCain's demise as much as the crash was. He was in good shape until the latter and her running her mouth happened. If she had been shut up besides co appearances it wouldn't have been so bad. Debate wise she wouldn't have won regardless but she coulda done better there too.
What bothered me the most about that final month for them was how they went on SNL and went along with their mocking of them.. they shoulda fought back. It made them look like fame whores and looked very weak.
No I think you miss the point here, it wasn't her behavior that caused her to be mocked she was going to be mocked no matter how smart she was because that was the plan. Notice every R running against dems are labeled as dumb, idiotic, outdated since that day. It's my theory the media's role since then is to berate and belittle every R and judge how they think. You could say it's a sentiment people festered for Bush, but that still doesn't explain why the media is the one leading the charge against one specific political party for more than 15 years now.
Pretty much.. I have a theory but honestly I think in 2004 the heads of both sides came together and wanted Barry to get elected. It's all too convenient now. He had that overrated speech at the 04 DNC which blasted him off and the media wouldn't shut the fuck up about him. NBC made sure to make his victory was at the top of their 8 PM calls. They sent their highest guys over to convince him to run; they never wanted Hillary in charge.
The 08 election was very convenient for Barry; the economy managed to tank at the best possible time for him. McCain was gaining ground.. it was slow but steady. He started attacking him for being a fame whore and his loony ideas; then he got Palin. This was before she opened her mouth to Couric; she was just a hot porn star esque MILF who was a governor. It worked for that little bit of time. Then the economy tanked hard and Palin opened her mouth.. game over. McCain aided it by being very pathetic in that final month. Worst final month of a campaign I've ever seen.. it was so dead and sad.
Romney meanwhile coulda won it going away quite a few times but he was such a dumbass he let it slip with his idiotic mouth and his lack of caring. The 2012 RNC was such a more appealing convention despite it's coldness.. the DNC tried too hard. Romney's speech was a ton better. He tried to talk about the issues but half assed it. I'll be fair he won that first debate but he was so pathetic at the 2nd and 3rd ones it didn't matter. Biden was a major dick in the VP debate; Romney shoulda got a boost from that. He couldn't overcome a jab about Big Bird of all things.. no wonder he lost.
If Trump had run in 2012 that woulda been a bloodbath. But I think he coulda won then.. Obama wasn't very popular honestly he was mediocre at best. Trump woulda jabbed him relentlessly over Obamacare and the economy. Romney could have but he never did.
