I work in Jacksonville Hospitals. I find it “strange” that as soon as the RNC announced Florida as the primary and Texas as the backup locations both had a huge spike in numbers all of a sudden!
However, Georgia has been earlier in easing restrictions and yet no spike....
Going back to working in Jacksonville hospitals, not seeing what the news is reporting. We do have some patients but nothing is overrun. There are far more patients percentage wise on observation floors than in the ICU about 6/1.
Furthermore, it’s quite comical that as soon as the staff gets away from the patient floors and down into the “bowels” of the hospital masks come off.
I believe one of the problems with the numbers is the independent testing done by some of the “urgent care” clinics. One in particular is owned by a very “shady” doctor and has is own laboratory testing equipment. The question arises, how often does he recalibrate his machine? Does he do it daily, or maybe not at all. Additionally hospital protocol for a positive test is “3 additional tests in 72 hours” for confirmation. It is a know fact that there are many false positives. Most people who get “drive up” tested just do it once. Certainly not “3 in 72”.
I had to go to a OfficeMax to pick up a network switch for a work site and some Karen gave me some shit for not wearing a damn piss filter. I didn't have time to argue with them I wish I had the time to go somewhere else that this useless request is customer friendly. Jesus all I want to do is get in, get out, and get back to work where no one requires me to violate SS 876.12.
I live in nyc. I'm sure this is coming. I personally will not wear a mask outside. I dont give 2 fucks what they say. I will wear one inside out of respect. I know it doesnt work 100% but it's something. If I had the option I wouldn't wear it at all.

Seminole county just put out a mask order. I won't go to businesses that enforce it. I'll just shop elsewhere.
