We're playing a culture war because of the right wing. The left weren't fighting it for a long time. Then they started to, and oh, lol, what a shock, the people that care about actually winning changed their tactics.
Like, the trans bathroom shit. Why are the left even arguing that so hard? Why even argue about trans shit so hard at all? It's easy arguments to have -- if you're going to use lefty arguments -- but they put so much time and energy that OF COURSE people will become disenfranchised.
