I was never a big Reddit user, and just discovered this. Is there a "how to" guide somewhere to get the most out of this site. I swear I'm closer to 30yrs old than 60 and do know how the internet works, but the volume of comments/chaos is very very overwhelming.

Just click stuff. But seriously the posts are organized in a "tree" format with each comment on the "trunk" creating a "branch" which can then subdivide into sub branches as many times as someone posts a reply on a branch. Just like the directory layout on a hard drive with folders and sub folders. Organize the order of the replies with "sorted by" in the upper right. On the main page use the "hot" "new" "rising" "top" to order the original posts. That should hopefully get you started. After you look at it for a bit you will get comfortable with the layout.
