With all of the riots and insane lefties on the street, I've been wanting to arm myself. Especially since I live in a city that has seen riots in the past and can be considered dangerous in general.

Not entirely sure how online gun purchasing works - can someone point me to a decently-priced site? Or will I have better luck going in-person to a gun store?

Is there a gun store anywhere near you? That would be the place to go for advice on local laws and requirements.

Also if you haven't shot before take a safety class.

Yes there's actually one down the road from me. I need to go visit but was unsure if a D2C website out there had notoriously cheaper prices.

I've shot before but it's been a little while - taking my fiance w/ me so should probably take a class anyway.

I havent shot in forever but recently took a concealed carry class because of the shit that is going down, and you won't find a friendlier, more welcoming crowd than at a gun store/range.

Agreed. Just took a 1 hr one on one at a range and it was a terrific experience.

My dad just got a CC license so I'm definitely following suit. I've had altercations w/ people in the city before and would feel more comfortable having a CC.

Any gun you order online will have to be shipped to someone for the FFL transfer FYI. They all charge a different amount for the transfer ($15-$30 here) so add that into the price same with shipping.

I am more than happy to help with anything I can. If you have any questions, let me know. In the last few months I have picked up a 12 gage, 9mm, .22lr, and my AR 15 build was ordered yesterday. I am the kind of person that reads up on anything I buy so I have done a lot of digging into what you can get right now and if its worth it.
