If there are any single Pedes looking for work in a blue state shithole, you could do A LOT worse than going to welding school for a year or learning to weld in some other way, and heading to South Dakota to work in the oil and gas or other heavy industry in SD for a job.

I don't know about you but the I like the fact that the trade is still based on tested ability and tangible skills. I think it forces a meritocracy.
