Libertarian policies work so well in SF don't they... they even have the liberal policies to supplement their libertarian approach and it has resulted in absolute disaster. It's a joke that no one likes to laugh at because we all fear authoritarianism so much. The difficult truth is that some balance is necessary, because regular people exhibit tyrannical and criminal (harmful, causing suffering) behavior, too.
I look at it as Libertarians are people that don't know what they want to be in life. This guy seems to have a liberal agenda according to his past posts.

Well, they understand "fuck the government" and for that I like them better than lefties. But libertarians most often get sold on all the same shit as liberals and leftists... That's where they're missing the conservative viewpoint. And honestly, they're failing to recognize that govt spending = taxation = govt power increase = govt able to invest in itself for more authoritarian controls. They fucking shoot themselves in the foot by ignoring the conservative position.

I use to lean Libertarian in my younger days. Disillusioned by Republicans and my disdain for Democrats I briefly looked down that path. Problem is, they cannot get enough support behind them. They are ultra hands off everything, essentially, they believe all Americans should be free to live their lives and pursue their interests as they see fit as long as they do no harm to another.
Let it lie brother. It will do no good to respond. If you absolutely have to ask him which party will tolerate libertarians and which one will shut them down completely if they can.
