I would've thought they'd celebrate our departure.

Now they can masturbate to their child porn subs in peace.

But that's none of my business...

Libertas_Vel_Mors 50 points ago +50 / -0

You forget: lefties prefer to masturbate over the amount of control they have over their fellow human beings. Nothing gets them off more than petty authority.

19
LadyWhoLovesTrump 19 points ago +19 / -0

Yes, and the power aspect is why they masturbate to children. They want to dominate and subjugate everyone in their path.

While I imagine the mods are already prepping for it, this site is going to be under some serious DDOS in the next few days.

There were several DDOS attacks the week of the rally, but I imagine after so many users fled reddit for here, that the proverbial "they" are going to try and discourage this site even harder than before.

DrCowboyPresident 14 points ago +14 / -0

It will only increase, that is absolutely certain. They demand that we be under their boot.

What they'd really like to see is something that Blizzard of all things accidentally tipped the cards on years ago.

A completely non-anonymous internet. Your real name, in front of everything you do, say, buy, watch or read.

RiverRunnerVDB 4 points ago +5 / -1

I’m not ashamed of anything I say. I don’t think that would work in their favor the way they think if would.

7
Kaarous 7 points ago +7 / -0

I’m not ashamed of anything I say

Neither am I. I just don't want my family threatened/harassed/murdered for it when I inevitably upset some leftist deviant.

Anonymity is the key feature of the internet. Without it we might as well go back to nailing paper to a message board by the town gates.

In the month+half since I first arrived, the site has been slammed with DDoS attempts off and on almost like clockwork.

Cloudflare is used to handle most of it, and they've held up hella admirably this whole time.

As a web developer who has built hundreds of sites/apps over the years, Cloudflare is indispensable. I use it for almost every client's site with any significant level of traffic. It has never let me down and saved my butt and that of my clients countless times.

They already have. Cloudflare has already kicked services off they don't like.

DDOS? Cloudflare goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

It's great to take the Internet back. It's how it's supposed to be. Anyone that remembers the Internet in the 90s it was a different world and this site has always felt like that to me. It's been taken over by companies that built their fortunes tracking and selling information from people who want a place to brag to their real life friends, show off, stroke their ego, and virtue signal. Take it back!

Haha IRC and Geocities. I know I participated in both of those at some point. I made so many half finished websites as a barely teenager that probably shouldn't have even been on some of those parts of the internet.

It worked out great though, when the late 90s hit and the .com boom I made what was a ton of money as someone who wasn't even old enough to drive just making simple little online presences for local small businesses. It was not only good for me to have a little cash but spectacular life experience.

Their website is dying and going independent is good for the internet and conservatism. Building infrastructure is long term work, but once you have it, you have it.

That's what I did. It's a lot of work (as it should be, CS field is IMMENSE) but take the time to work on pet projects, code some apps, spin up some linux servers/servlets (Rpi is great for this on a budget). Build up a portfolio and you'll never have to worry about finding a job.

I taught myself to program in high school some 25 years ago and never even bothered finishing college. Been freelancing and contracting ever since, and the work has never stopped coming in. If you're smart, hard working, can communicate with non technical people, and are willing to continually learn and evolve your skillset, you're set. I wouldn't even recommend a CS degree (the years I spent in college taking classes towards one were almost completely wasted, in retrospect) unless you're coming from high school and have 4-5 years to burn. Everything you need to know to get started and jump into the industry you can learn in a good six months on your own. A master's degree is definitely worth it, however, since it opens a lot of doors at larger companies.

johnsmithshitpost 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good story bruh. I taught myself when I was 13. I got poached from high school by my first dev shop.

3
johnsmithshitpost 3 points ago +3 / -0

I did 20 years as a software developer. Hard labour.

But you can't find a better career in terms of job stability. The world runs on software. People that can write or fix it will always have a job.

Plus, bonus IT skills make you a very attractive husband these days, I have found. Few things are nicer than your wife's shiny, grateful eyes when her laptop is working but nobody else in her team can get theirs to do what they want during this remote work time.

"Just go make your OWN...." was never an actual suggestion from them.

It was something that started back in the GamerGate days. "Jeez, stop trying to force your ideology into existing games, just go make your own game!", and the people who said it meant it but of course SJWs almost never did that because they knew those games wouldn't sell.

So when they started forcibly deplatforming us they just used "just go make your own..." as a taunt. "Ha ha you hypocrites!" type thing. But they thought we were like them, only capable of destroying, not creating, only interested in trying to corrupt what others have out of hatred for them and desire to forcibly indoctrinate rather than sincere in our simple want to have a place for ourselves.

They never intended for us to ACTUALLY go make our own. As soon as we did we put the lie to their smug bullshit because they immediately started trying to destroy whatever we created.

Killing a meme but:

Gold/Black suggests anarchist/ancap/liberatarian - they're probably pretty happy for a group creating a voluntary community.

Maybe more accurate if the bowtie was red/black?

Yeah the bowtie should be red/black because of commies.

2

How do we get a canada.win?

2
googurt 2 points ago +2 / -0

HEY! Coincidentally, I actually did this. Got my certificate in the mail today. It was a pretty awesome course. (Also trolled my super liberal instructors for five months.) I had a good grasp of javascript, HTML, CSS before the course but I learned Java. It's pretty cool knowing I could make this website if I wanted.

Unfortunately, I need to find a f'ing job to pay to the bills first... and my city is a ghost town. So, I'll keep filling out online applications.

Because that's what we do. We move forward through the shit.

2
Master_Wyatt_Gurp 2 points ago +2 / -0

They never realized that 1) we would actually do it and 2) when we did, they lose all control

Thanks, idiots.

Well it is a big self ownage on their side. They could have had us corralled onto reddit/facebook for easy monitoring and subversion but no they don't do 4d chess. They kicked the ant hill, you don't have any less ants, they're just everywhere now and pissed off.
