Most people have a job, most protestors likely don't have a job. There's a minority of loud obnoxious people with a lot of time on their hands. Sane, hard working, level-headed Americans have responsibilities. There's also really tricky cost / reward situation going on.
For example, I work for a SF tech company. If I publicly speak against BLM, or the protests, I would be fired. Full stop, without question. We literally have classes on inclusion we need to take, we're told we should add BLM tags to our email signatures, etc.
I make very good money. What would distress me more? BLM protests and all the bullshit? Or being unemployed in the middle of all this shit going on? Sorry, but I'm going to stay silent and collect my oversized paycheck
