glad you asked. First and foremost, go with what you are most interested in. The fighting disciplines are like music. Find your groove and jam.

But...i recommend if you aren't partial to anything... jujitsu will test you.

Go judo and learn to fight standing up too. Besides, judo is a club sport and is more economical than for-profit MA schools.

also, we don't know the pedes body type so judo could put them in a horrible disadvantage. But, I'm all for trial and error.

Just get active. Join anything

Even traditional boxing is good. The emphasis on mobility and cardio is a great foundation to work from.

I've owned 2 schools in a system called Jungyea Moosul (2nd degree). I was a 2 stripe blue belt on BJJ last year when I was stabbed 7 times in a mugging. That Put my training on hold then the virus. Anyway, just so you know I'm not talking out of my ass. It has been my experience that judo, being about balance, gives those with a lower center of gravity an advantage over taller people. Some people are built for jumping kicks. Some are better suited to tai chi due to immobility. Long term injuries can prevent some from certain weapons techniques. Some just don't have the coordination to perform so they fit their body into a more suitable fighting system. JM was designed for finding the individuals fighting style then steering them towards their natural strengths. You get the idea.
