In the summer of 2017 my home was invaded while I was in the house. I own a firearm, but it was in the opposite side of the home, so I was pretty much fucked if it had been a violent criminal. My lucky break happen when saw my dog and ran.
The point of this all is? At what point would calling the cops ever going to help me in that situation? Life handed me the dice, and I just happen to roll well enough to not get a bullet to the brain. Some people aren't so lucky. Protect yourself.

We're to the point where carrying in the house it's not a bad idea IMHO.
