And as we take the 'higher road' we lose our jobs, lives and culture. Not sure God would be totally on board with that, but of course no one alive knows God fully.

my rule is the golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated.
if someone treats me poorly all the time, I change my rules to be "treat others how they treat you"
