And as we take the 'higher road' we lose our jobs, lives and culture. Not sure God would be totally on board with that, but of course no one alive knows God fully.

At this time I will follow Alinskys tactics, and when I die I will be judged.

And if I am offended by the term trailer trash? Is this 'bearing false witness'?

I just want to take the time to say while i totally get your stance of saying if we take the high road and lose our jobs, secuirty etc whats good is it just to say “well we took the high road at least!”...totally understandable....but i think what some who were mentioning doing the opposite were saying is that God says “what good is it for a man to gain the entire world and lose his soul?”

The meaning of this is this: There is an eternity to be concerned about and what we gain and lose here, while it matters to us while were here, isnt the end all be all of what matters....its to help keep things in perspective of life after this one and the importance of fighting for what is right here, yes, but if we lose, knowing that we still have not lost the one thing and most important thing they cant take away, a relationship with God, through his son Jesus Christ.

Thanks for the good write-up.

I guess I struggle with connecting Gods will in the Old Testament with it's coming through Jesus in the New.

Also the interpretation of the Eastern Orthodox which seems to take up the sword vs Catholic and general Western which now abhor the sword but in the past were very ready and willing to use it.
