Much of the cancel culture you’re seeing is part and parcel run by media producers who’ve been fostering Marxist themes in their content including all this diversity garbage. Kathleen Kennedy was at the forefront of this for Star Wars and mandating female leads and diversity hires without rhyme or reason to story.
Her sacking is a repudiation of those ideals.
Not that we don’t want female leads (Ripley in Aliens) or diversity hires (Wesley Snipes in Blade) we just want the stories to BE GOOD and not “woke”
Agreed - I haven’t even seen Rise of Skywalker and never rewatched Last Jedi.
If you haven’t you should read up on Gamergate which was an earlier fight along these lines but dealing with game “journalists” and the Fandom Menace which is what these guys are fighting for.

Don’t get me wrong, I want her out. I used to be a huge Star Wars fan, but now it’s sucks.
