The government just gives you a nice free home, people don’t take care of it because they didn’t earn it, home looks like shit and then all surrounding property values start to crash.

Don’t forget that your own town had to sign up for it. Those grants your town got around the 2012 era to build a fucking splash park/gentrify some useless portion of town were not free. They came at the cost of your small towns peace.
