Through your library you can access free audiobooks from your phone.

The one here is literally all homeless people who know they can’t get kicked out, and crazies on drugs. My wife loves the library and wont go unless I’m in tow packing concealed.

Yes! I love reading a hard copy book. Best to collect any that the commies want burned too. At any moment, Kindle could "delete" what is deemed "wrong think"!

There's actually a theory that the enviornmental push for saving paper and going digital is really to eliminate forbidden reading material.

Yea, and even crazier is that younger trees absorb carbon better than older ones. No one ever mentions that we're planting trees faster than cutting them down. This might be why "wild" fires are so rampant.

Isnt that what Zero did with his presidential library? all digital, and no.. you cant have access.

Gosh, I would not doubt that! I didn't think about it from that angle. Go paperless could eventually mean Go Brainless!

Can it be deleted if you own the media on a hard drive or other electronic device?i have an mp3 player and seems like it'd be impossible for the forces that be to delete any of my stuff

I think accessibility is more the issue. In Fahrenheit 451, they went house to house looking for books. So people still have them, but they couldn't be accessed at a library.

I love my hardback books but kindle makes it where I can haul unlimited books around.

I have a love hate with kindle books but you bring up and excellent point.

Thanks for the compliment...I use Kindle too, but strange times we are now living made me think about how digital could be gone in a New York Minute!

I've disabled wifi and 3g on my kindle and only load it manually with 'acquired' material via usb cable. FeelsBad, but after the shiest Apply pulled with its media, I'm never trusting digital content (except Steam) again.

You can get books and books on CD/tape for long drives to work, etc. might as well use your tax dollars.

Best thing about mine is that you can get a lot of online courses for free through the library which would normally cost a lot otherwise.

Edit: you missed a good opportunity to add drag queens telling stories for an hour.

Yeah I know, but on the other hand you don't burn out your phone's battery or your data plan.

Lol only homeless and pedos.

And that's just the guest readers for storytime.
