don't forget that Lindsey Graham threatened Trump with impeachment if he did anything to stop the Mueller witch Hunt

Ted Cruz is sound bites about big tech censorship for 3 years but did nothing to stop itt

heres andrew klavan explaining itt

Tell me what Cruz should have done or should be doing today.

18
WildStar 18 points ago +18 / -0

Cruz and Hawley have both backed good legislation, but they're only two people. They get no support from the Dems or the Cucks.

12
artifex_mundi_x 12 points ago +12 / -0

Yeah I think Cruz is 100% on the right path, he just needs more support from his cowardly colleagues.

3

I'd like to see Ted Cruz up for the Presidnecy next election.

3
tokenninja 3 points ago +3 / -0

Andrew is correct - however, he forgets that if / when the conservatives do fight back, they are immediately labeled right wing, FBI and state police open investigations on everyone planning (see what happened in Virginia for 2A protest) - compare that to the left where they can run riots and the DOJ looks the other way. Until republicans don’t elect REAL republicans- democrats will win.

ilovehishaircut 3 points ago +3 / -0

We’re polygamists not inbred...if you’re going to slur us at least use the right terminology. Also, Mitt Romney is not well-liked in UT anymore. Read through Mike Lee’s Twitter...a lot of UT pedes giving him the business about tech antitrust and dunking on him for Huntsman’s loss. To understand why Romney was elected, basically he’s the richest Mormon celebrity, but now people have seen his true colors.

1
HTTP_404 1 point ago +1 / -0

Mike Lee, Mr H1B himself. I used to think he was a good guy.

1
RabidZoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

I mean...when you take a certain number of people...and keep breeding those same core over and over...no one is that far removed from everyone else. So yeah...I meant what I said.

Does anyone run against Romney? Or you guys just vote him in out of habit?

1
ilovehishaircut 1 point ago +1 / -0

Do you even polygamist bruh? More wives from all the places...in all seriousness most Mormons stopped about 100 years ago but there are still a surprising number in UT, welcome to come and visit. Romney is a travesty, hard for pedes to understand I know. I’m not apologizing for him, just trying to give context as to why he was elected.

1
RabidZoo 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm sorry man. I'm being a dick. But Romney really pisses me off. I know it's not all Mormons faults. I don't think I'd ever visit...no beer right?

7
quigonkenny 7 points ago +8 / -1

Centrally organized religion tends toward collectivism. It's the same reason Catholicism has pushed so far left. The Mormons just started much more recently than the Catholics, so they haven't quite gotten there yet.

6
ProfessorRomendev 6 points ago +6 / -0

Plus china is giving them 2b a year to shut up about christian persecution, and many are suspecting the last pope was compromised

2
Big_oof 2 points ago +2 / -0

Mormons are deeply Socialist, they just do it at a Church level vs. Gov (not that there's much of a distinction, locally).

They're kind of the opposite of all your 'I'm socially progressive, but economically conservative' "Libertarian" friends: they oppose gay marriage and didn't let black people completely join their religion until like last week, but also collect 10% of your income for redistribution. Utah is the largest welfare state in the union, once you account for where the welfare comes from.

1
SnowflakeJuice 1 point ago +1 / -0

It is an odd religion. They have main streamed over the years, but there is still a lot of bullshit in Mormon Doctrine

18
Drwhom 18 points ago +18 / -0

On the SLC subreddit, Democrats are switching parties to vote in the primaries so they can get the most ‘moderate’ person they can for governor. I think this is legal, but I don’t find it ethical

16
SloOlePede 16 points ago +16 / -0

Closed primaries are best for voters because you don't get party games like this.

5
AppalachianTactical 5 points ago +6 / -1

Meh im in a red state but stay democrat to have more effect in primaries. Vote the weakest dem candidate.

9
monkadelic 9 points ago +9 / -0

This is 100% happening. They are doing it to vote against Hughes, and for Cox. Cox is basically a lefty, and Hughes is a solid Trump supporter. They have nothing to lose because no democrat will ever win the general.

2
agile_a 2 points ago +2 / -0

do the same to them

2
monkadelic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thats not possible in a Primary, in a state that wont support a democrat.

1
Mike_Pens 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ugh.. just looked at the number of votes during the 2016 primaries for governor vs 2020 and the voter numbers have nearly doubled... this is VERY likely bc it’s just too big of an increase and Hughes is in third place to the two moderates competing for the nom.

2
lamplight 2 points ago +3 / -1

I've seen advocates for the same thing around these parts for years.

Utah is a shithole and the state religion likes moving weight. Fuck them both.

1
Mike_Pens 1 point ago +1 / -0

Greg Hughes is the real MAGA candidate for governor but alas Mormons are, for the most part, the type of agreeable spineless conservatives that continually relinquish ground due to their kind and polite natures... bc of the Mormon ideology, they are extremely susceptible to groupthink, appeal to authority, and herd mentality. even after they leave the church they tend to become extremely Progressive... leave one religion for another. They make great neighbors though and are all raised to be preppers. However, not grown to be leaders or nuanced trailblazers.

6
powershellder 6 points ago +6 / -0

Just don't inadvertantly promote merchandise from Ted Nugent. It'll get you bant quick. First time I've ever been banned...that I've noticed. And it was here. I was considering flipping back to Reddit out of spite for awhile...then I slapped myself for being an idiot.

It was my fault really..."no self-promotion, no promoting merchandise" is one of the rules...and I didn't realize it. But there was a pic of the Nuge signing hats that he had made...so I looked it up...sure enough...well...a guy asked what the link was and being ignorant of that rule I posted it. Took them about an hour...went to post something..."You've been banned from this site." I almost shit myself.

There’s a choice we’re making

55
deliquo 55 points ago +55 / -0

We will consume the Republican Party.

We will go toe to toe with the Critical Race Theory zealots, Antifa, and Socialists.

We will allow a few old guard Republicans to serve with us "if they can."

The rest must go in an orderly fashion that allows us to replace them with fighters.

26
Warskullx 26 points ago +26 / -0

We will consume the Republican Party.

A point, this isn't quite set yet. It depends on the 2020 election. If Trump wins, the party being reshaped into Trump's Republican party is very likely. If he gets a big win it is all but guaranteed.

If Trump loses the Republicans will very quickly back pedal and revert to being W. Era neocons again, in other words, losers.

Hence why it is important to vote for Trump. Not matter how much you think he will win, you can make it one vote more.

11
TeddyIndeed 11 points ago +11 / -0

True, a Trump loss would mean a death knell for the Republican party - because his base ain't going back to that "W era" loser mindset.

THAT SAID, this election is going to be a muthahumpin' Trump Tsunami: 1) Trump is still the preferred economic candidate with a body of work inside of a resilient economy (thank God) and 2) the Democrats nominee and message is an unmitigated disaster - currently propped up by a psychotic and unpopular MSM... the national choice will be quite clear to all before Election Day, so don't ignore these pro-Biden polls - laugh at them.

5
ProfessorRomendev 5 points ago +5 / -0

And 3. These bad polls are making some republicans freak out in panic, doing everything they can to galvanize Trump support

And 4. Trump’s base is voting this time. They didn’t come out to vite in 2018 cause our boi wasn’t on the ticket

4
deleted 4 points ago +4 / -0
1
Truthdose 1 point ago +1 / -0

a Trump loss would mean a death knell for the Republican party

Iraq and afghanistan did that.

The republican party's resurgence is a byproduct of Trump's success.

As people have previously pointed out, they did not want to win(as they do not try as hard as they should).

The party is still rotten to the core...The good republicans left when the wars started and everyone(even conservatives) supported them

18
Toys 18 points ago +19 / -1

Gaetz isn't so bad, worth keeping around IMO. Jordan can be hit or miss, but he's been more hit than miss. Zeldin is a keeper too, IMO. There's a lot of patriots in the House (and by a lot, I mean more than 1).. The senate? Not so much.

8

2
GorillaWarfare 2 points ago +2 / -0

Term limits aren't going to make SF/LA/NYC/etc. start electing more reasonable Senators.

Term limits don't do anything when retiring politicians just get replaced by fresh ones with the exact same ideology. It's the Marxist and leech-class voters in the cities electing control freak politicians by overwhelming margins that are the real enemy, politically.

If we got organized we could do it, trouble is we suck at that as we are individuals, compared to the collectivist left.

However, the founders of America were also individualists and manged to create a new country. Patriots can come together and so we must, without that nothing changes.

5

15
TheSHazDroid 15 points ago +15 / -0

The downside of this.

Those RINO's see actual Republicans win primaries with the support of the President.

They have two choices.

  1. Get their asses in gear and support the President's agenda.
  2. Help the Deep State in removing Trump from office so they can go back to the good ole days of the UniParty.

I seem to see more of the latter where the GOP in general have not been supporting Trump at all, they have (for the most part) been cowed by the media into going along with all the shenanigans.

5
Irksy 5 points ago +5 / -0

You’re right! It’s door #3. Republican constituents, while still willing to vote ticket, are not standing for their bullshit. Piss or get off the pot.

4
Bramble 4 points ago +4 / -0

Deep state has proven they can't unseat him. He has brought in or created enough allies to survive, and grow stronger. They had advantage at first because he didn't know anything about the inner workings of the WH. Now he knows. Now he's mad.

Deep state can't remove him, but it's up to us to keep him there to continue the work to destroy the anti American Marxists rampaging through government.

11
Pirate_Lafitte 11 points ago +11 / -0

Easier to get behind those with ideals and conviction over establishment sellouts that just want to have a long career in politics. Even though Trump endorsed some of these establishment picks (because a team of strategists told him he should), I bet in his heart, he is glad these upstarts won, as they are in his mold.

10

From Colorado Sun

http://archive.vn/o420U

Be still my heart.

"Earlier this year, Boebert said in an interview that she was “very familiar” with the QAnon far-right conspiracy theory, but she stopped short of saying she was a follower.

“Everything that I’ve heard of Q, I hope that this is real because it only means that America is getting stronger and better, and people are returning to conservative values,” she told interviewer Ann Vandersteel."

I'm in love. One of us.

5
slaphappy2 5 points ago +5 / -0

One simple way for GOP voters to do this - if they lack the brains to research the voting records and discover that their GOP reps vote like Democrats - just don't vote for any GOP candidate over the age of 45.

That's about the simplest rule of thumb I can think of.

2
Caferrell 2 points ago +2 / -0

After Trump's reelection there should be a national convention in the biggest arena in the USA. Regular American Republicans should be invited by lot and a new Republican political doctrine should be discussed and voted on.

From then on, any senator or Congressman will be in jeopardy if he decides to step outside of the agreed upon political philosophy that has been produced by the convention. If possible there should be a mechanism for the Republican base to vote this person out of office at any time and replace him.

there are a million legal problems with this idea, but with enough lawyers and money it could be worked out.
