Yeah, probably some parts kits that were considered easily convertible to automatics. Not familiar with AKs, but the equivalent of a lower with a third hole. Our maybe the parts kits included seers

You can do that shit with a coat hanger and 1 minute of your time so it isn't worth the 10 years in prison you'd get for buying one or for even building one before shit actually hits the fan.

I don't disagree, but that doesn't mean there isn't a market for them. They get sold, people buy them.

A small Chinese shop would love to sell a hundred units with the kind of markup they can expect from a unit like that.

I doubt chinese mfg's can do AR15 lowers at a good price. The tooling to do it cost-effectively is very expensive and the quality required to get it to work is high.
