Once they started to really push the mayor, it was the turning point. Up until then they had a nice little tit for tat going.
But when the same ideology breaks down the gates of someone’s private property and the homeowners meet them outside with a rifle, it’s “muh peaceful protestors!”
Because they wanted Trump to send in troops and make another Kent state moment to smear his re-election or worse, pull a Ukraine style overthrow after civilians are shot. Old tactics if you know history.
