For anyone who doesn't know the story, blacks left America because of the racism in the south and went to Liberia and formed their own country. The government was based on the US Constitution.

They immediately began treating the natives exactly how they were treated back in the US. They even went as far as enslaving the natives and forcing them into labor. Natives had no rights and were not allowed to marry Americo-Liberian women.

Not surprising, the government was overthrown by the ethnic natives and in the coup they killed the President. The guy who led the coup was overthrown and killed by the next group. After a couple civil wars a new transitional government did come in and things calmed down. The country still suffers from poor economic conditions and very high corruption.
