IMPORTANT UPDATE - Forced to change our timeline, please read completely!
Good Morning Everyone,
The Committee to Recall Governor Gretchen Whitmer has received notice that Governor Whitmer has appealed the approval of the recall petition to the Michigan Court of Appeals. MCL 168.951b states that the approved petition cannot be circulated before 40 days from the date of appeal, which would be July 28th, or until the MI Court of appeals decides of whether each reason (on the petition) is factual and sufficient clarity. Whichever of those dates is sooner. Therefore, The Committee is going to use this extra time to strengthen our movement, spread the word, get volunteers ready to canvass and raise the necessary funding for a successful recall. We need everyone’s help in all these tasks!! We will not be stopped. Freedom from Tyranny is the right of every American.
We will still be holding our 4th of July event to meet each other, get petitions to our county captains to further organize, and raise funds. No recall petitions should circulate or be signed before July 29th, as we anticipate the appellate judge will not be hearing the case, as nothing is on the docket so far. We will be bringing some select merchandise with us on the 4th of July that will be available for purchase. We hope to see many of you there and understand this may be disheartening to you, however we must stay upbeat and positive, this will give us an opportunity to become even stronger and increase our chances of success.
We are including a copy of the letter we received in the mail late in the day yesterday and a link to an article that will help you to better understand what happened. We did reach out to the state’s elections division shortly after the appeal window expired and did not get a reply. We did not find this information out ourselves until yesterday toward the evening and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We understand you will have questions, but please read the article in the link before reaching out as we will now be even busier redirecting our efforts for the above explained purposes.
It is more important now than ever that we continue to stick together, we thank you for your continued support and patience.
