So a yes vote is to keep the state from discriminating against people. And a no vote would allow the state to discriminate.

Am I interpreting that correctly? The wording seems confusing. My brain is fried from nonstop studying so I apologize if I'm overthinking this.

Edit: I'm 100% wrong. A yes vote would repeal the existing law. Thank you all!

Easy voting guide for everyone:

Vote No on all new laws

Vote straight (R)

Vote No on all new taxes

Easy peasy

Yup rule of thumb is if you put a shitty measure up for vote and put it in the yes spot, it passes.

You are not interpreting it correctly.

No vote is to keep the state from discriminating against people. And a yes vote would allow the state to discriminate.

A "Yes" vote repeals Prop 209.

A "No" vote keeps Prop 209.

Prop 209 states that California can not discriminate on the basis of race.
