Ehh. I had an unconstitutional court experience (over a decade ago) where I was taken into a private room with the judge the police and 4 other cops for my trial, and was told by the judge It didn’t matter what I said cause I was a kid and he was a cop and these cops were here to back him up. Scared the shit out of me. Bit of a shit show honestly. And the “quality of life” he mentioned in clay county is not nice. It’s a giant trailer park. It’s a shit hole drug infested white trash county. Not much to burn, but whatever they do will go fast cause everything is made of particle board. But nice message regardless. Wish more cops were like this.

You know Flemming Island, Green Cove and Middleburg are part of clay? Middleburg has some seedy parts but II think your thinking of Keystone heights

More so middleburg. Didn’t know Fleming was a part of clay, it’s right on the edge. So fair enough if that’s there’s lol. But the courthouse is down in green cove which is pretty shitty (although there are a few nice parts) and middleburg is what I think of with clay.

Definitely some shitty parts. I use to patrol Keystone heights and there were more dirt/sand roads than paved. I'm from outside of Philly and they would always yell here comes the yank🤷‍♂️

Lmfao yeah and there’s that too. My high school girlfriend lived in middleburg and I always dreaded driving out there. One time I stop for gas on my motorcycle out there and some drunk ass hole tried to fight me because he “thought it was shitty”. His wife/cousin/sister (all 3?) saved his ass fortunately. Just weird trashy people there. But again, haven’t been there in a decade so If anything’s changed, I’m happy to hear it. But I’m not going back lol

Did taking you into the back room work?

I’m not sure if that’s sarcasm lol but not for me, no. They ended up changing my charge and fining me 3 times as much just because I showed up to court.

Sounds like you probably deserved it. I was thrown the book at in Manassas County VA for super excessive speeding in 1994. I think because I was white. All others in the traffic court that day (seriously ALL others) were minorities with worse offenses (hit and run, drunk driving, etc.) but I received the biggest punishment. Oh well. White privilege to pay....

Just got pulled over in Clay County a month ago for speeding (I seriously need to watch the speedometer or get a slower car) and the black deputy very kindly gave me a ticket. Police have never been anything but nice to me. I wish I would stop introducing myself to them so much.....
