I'm not really using hyperbole however if you want to look at it that way for just one minute then backtrack it's a really good exercise. The system is nuanced and always iterating. It's not perfect and it is a human product, so it will have our flaws.
Want to see the extreme example? Go look at the shithole that drudge has become. Deeply look at the structure of their linking, networks, and authorship + messaging/narrative. Then imagine breaking that apart and syndicating it through feeds.

You can also analyze "narrative" pushes and work to find their origination points. Or at least get an idea of what entities are pushing narratives to cover up other happenings.
