I remember the first DJT government shutdown. Something like one more day and he could have fired anyone / everyone at will.
He also said he would never sign anything like that budget that re-opened the government again.
Yet here we are, 10,000 x worse.
You could say that at the time I was saying burn it all to the ground - but that was a metaphor. I still believe that was the right thing to do, and the downside would have done far less damage to the Country than the literal version of burning things to the ground that we've seen for over a month now.
Appointing a director doesn't transform a big government bureaucracy filled with unfire-able Federal union statists.
