I make every effort to have my feeds be full of content I disagree with. I didn't realize til now that it might be that way by default.

If you tweak the system it will send you what is approved that it thinks you are looking for. Got to keep you engaged as your nudge to the left progresses. Also generally platforms are designed to send users the content users want. They're supposed to be.

I'm not really using hyperbole however if you want to look at it that way for just one minute then backtrack it's a really good exercise. The system is nuanced and always iterating. It's not perfect and it is a human product, so it will have our flaws.

Want to see the extreme example? Go look at the shithole that drudge has become. Deeply look at the structure of their linking, networks, and authorship + messaging/narrative. Then imagine breaking that apart and syndicating it through feeds.

Drudge was sold. It's just about the most clicks like any other non-right wing site.

Drudge was sold.

Yes this is why I chose drudge as an example.

It's just about the most clicks like any other non-right wing site.

You aren't thinking outside the box and I can only point the way man. Clicks are the currency not the game. Syndication systems and networks are integrating and being worked by AI. These all feed into warehouses that are learning more every day. When drudge flipped to Google we lost something big.

You can still go through and look at their adnetwork and see how that impacts your re-targeting traffic (personalized ads) over time. Sometimes you can sniff out data exchange arrangements this way. You can also analyze "narrative" pushes and work to find their origination points. Or at least get an idea of what entities are pushing narratives to cover up other happenings.
